Trading days & Order entry days

Trading days are when the market is open. Orders created during market trading hours will attempt to be matched immediately. If an order is not matched or is only partially matched, the remaining order will be placed in the queue and visible on the Order Book.

Order entry days give investors a chance to place their orders in the Order Book before trading starts. This starts on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. Orders will be placed in a queue according to price and time of order. However, order matching will only take place when trading opens on Wednesday and Thursday (10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.).

This improves transparency and allows investors to change their orders if they wish.

Order Book reset

The Order Book is a list of all open orders for a particular share. On Friday at 10:00 p.m., this Book is reset.

This means that all open orders will expire and be removed from the Order Book.

All partially matched orders will close and any unmatched quantity will no longer be attempted to be filled. Trading fees will be calculated based on the matched quantity only and will be reflected in your PSTX Account.

Fresh orders can be placed the following Monday.

Scheduled & unscheduled downtime

From time to time, downtime may be deemed necessary to ensure the maintenance of our platform runs smoothly.

As this would potentially interfere with Market Operating Hours, we are committed to notify you and all PSTX users at least 48 hours prior to any scheduled downtime via email and website notifications. The same channel will be utilised for unscheduled downtime, and you will be notified as soon as such an event is anticipated.
